Funding for Faculty Projects

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) helps Princeton faculty members get corporate and/or foundation funding for University-approved projects.

Please familiarize yourself with University policies regarding funding from institutional sources, which are explained in this memo from Provost Christopher Eisgruber.

Please consult with us before you approach funding organizations, and let our staff experts assist you in:

  • conducting research and developing a strategy for obtaining funding
  • understanding and complying with reporting and other requirements
  • thanking grantors and keeping in touch with them through CFR's stewardship efforts

CFR complements the work of the Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA), which manages federal grants and external funding for sponsored research. CFR oversees most research grants and all other funding from non-governmental sources. It is responsible also for fostering long-term relationships with those institutions.

Let us know your funding needs. Fill out our Faculty Contact Form, or e-mail us at cfr@princeton.edu.
